§ XVI. Effective date.

Whereas, the immediately operation of the provisions of this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health, public safety, and general welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the city council of the Town of New Roads and the police jury of the Parish of Pointe Coupee and publication and posting as required by law.

Adopted by the city council of the Town of New Roads and the police jury of the Parish/Pointe Coupee this twenty-fourth day of April, 1984.
